ISTE Standards-T Standard 1: Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate
experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual
environments.

Assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating
contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the
knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the ISTE Standards-Students.

certain points in their public school career. It is based off of the subject and grade level they are in.

a. Teachers design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and
resources to promote student learning and creativity.

Positives of this chat tool were:
You can work together without being with each other and use other aspects of the resource such as
instant messaging (IM).
Negatives of using this chat tool were:
Technology is not always up to date, there are times when it will freeze, and technology has a lot issues
at times. In our case we had a lot of technical problems and actually werent able to talk because my
computer is too old to use video chat. Also my power went out at one point. Her computer kept

freezing up and not letting her use chat, however we were able to get through it and work together as a
team in Google documents.
