Behavior Expectations: In order to promote a safe and positive

environment that is conducive to learning, all students are expected to


show Comet P.R.I.D.E. by being Positive and Respectful, having Integrity
and Determination, and showing Effort.
Positive A positive attitude is contagious and will help you do your best.
-No put downs or negative comments.
- No swearing.
Respect others and all property.
-No talking while others are talking.
-Treat lab and classroom materials carefully.
- Not socializing during work time.
-Being where you should be (in your seat or your lab group).
Integrity- Your character defines you
-When you have done something wrong admit it instead of arguing
about it.
-Be doing what you have been asked to do during class time.
Determination- Do your best and never give up.
-Staying with your group during group assignments, or working at
your seat is expected.
- Following instructions quickly and quietly.
Effort- Stay on task and focused during lab and activities.
-Do not wander from your group or goof around with others.
-Use your class time wisely by not socializing during work time.
If students do not follow these rules, they will receive a Responsibility
Sheet for not showing PRIDE. Below are the consequences for receiving
Responsibility sheets per trimester.
1st - Warning
2nd - Fill out responsibility form
3rd - ISS all day and loss of social privileges

We will make every attempt to also recognize positive behaviors in the


classroom and reward students for them since they contribute to a great
learning environment in the classroom.
Students who go all trimester without a Responsibility form will earn
privilege such as extra credit points and being excused from 1 lab
assignment.
