Overall Goal of Lesson: For students to engage in physical activity while enjoying it and learning the
benefits at the same time.
Instructional Objectives: Students will participate in an effective warm-up, lead each other in group
exercise and work together, and enjoy a game that involves physical activity.

movement concepts and principles to the learning
and development of motor skills. The student is
expected to:
(A) identify similar movement elements in sports
skills such as underhand throwing and underhand
volleyball serving;
(B) identify ways movement concepts such as time,
space, effort, and relationships can be used to refine
movement skills;
(C) make appropriate changes in performance based
on feedback; and
(D) describe key elements of mature movement
patterns of throw for distance or speed such as catch,
kick, strike, and jump.

Students stand on mats in 6 different teams and throw balls at bowling pins that are in front
of each others mats. Each team has one scuba diver to retrieve balls. Play until 1 team is
left.
