Goal:
To help children build confident in their writing ability
Objective:
children will practice name writing
Transition Plan
Procedure
Cut out small rectangles of white construction paper (one per student). Using the black
marker, write the name of one student on each card using capital letters. Instead of writing
the name traditionally, write them vertically, placing one letter under the other.
Print out Name Game Activity Sheets 2 and 3 according to the number of boys and girls
in the class.
Hand the sheet and the card bearing their name to each of the students.
Ask the students to write their names vertically in the space between the dotted lines.
Ask them to use their name cards to look and trace the letters of their name carefully.
Advanced Preparation:
Precut small rectangles for each child, print out name activity sheet
List Materials:
Name Game Activity Sheet 2
(one copy for each child)
Name Game Activity Sheet 3
(one copy for each girl)
White construction paper
Black marker
