PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL

To our paraprofessionals. This time of year


(holidays) is always tough on our students that
struggle with interpersonal skills. Our paras do an
awesome job of advocating, supporting, caring, and
assisting Our Kids. Your efforts do not go unnoticed
and are vital to our school culture. Thank you!!

Through implementing research-based instructional strategies, we will

Essential Standards charts should be completed before the unit takes place. These
will be used to guide our Dept PLC work.
Everyone should fill out the Enrichment form on our staff site,
http://prairiehsstaff.weebly.com/
Under RTI/MTSS click on ER Plans Form. This
needs to be completed by everyone by the end of the day Monday.
Focus on offering more extension opportunities for Our Kids that are already
proficient in their standards.
Be sure to check the list of when your dept is working with Heather. You will meet in
the SH Rooms on these meeting days. Here is the link:

Dec 8th is our next PL day. We will be meeting in the afternoon as a building.
Mr.Speer will share the facilities 10-yr plan with us that afternoon. Also, Diane
Potter will be discussing with us about the Foundation.

Dec 10th is the next Science Council. Please plan subs accordingly in SEMS.
On Dec 11th, our tech team of Amy, Deanne, Anna, and Kim will be doing IPI tech walkthroughs. Please welcome them into your class.
Dec 15th 18th are 8 pd days. Dec 19th is odd semester tests, Dec 22nd is even
semester tests. Dec 23rd is test make-up. No student should be changing test days
unless you hear from his or her counselor that I have approved it.
Dec 16th and 18th we have set up some massages similar to last year. The 16th will have
15-minute time slots available from 8 10. The 18th will be from 10 12. There
will be a sign up in the office for those interested in getting a free 15 min massage.
