City College will cut work-study student hours by 5% due to a 5% cut in funding from the administration. Rather than removing students from the program, all work-study students will have their hours reduced. A freshman student commented that the hour cut "sucks" but he is grateful to keep his job. The administration aims to keep all 3,000 work-study students employed with fewer working hours each.

CHICAGO Work-Study students at City College can expect a 5 percent cut in work hours. In result of a 5 percent cut in funding, City College Administration must make some adjustments. Instead of removing students from the work-study program, administration will make a 5 percent cut in all hours worked by students.
