This independent technology project demonstrates the teacher's knowledge of digital tools. The project combines an Excel chart imported into a Word document with various Word charts and templates. It charts the teacher's work hours, income, and lesson plans. Through creating this project, the teacher learned to import Excel charts into Word and apply Word templates, gaining skills that will help teach students digital technologies.

Brief Description: This assignment is a compilation of an Excel chart imported to
a Word document, combined with several different charts and templates from Office Word, and finally a reflection/summary of the projects contents. The information in the project is charting of my work hours, weekly/monthly income, and weekly lesson plans. I chose to use this as my project because it demonstrates my newly learned skills in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word templates, and how to combine two documents of different formats. Rationale: To demonstrate my understanding of Standard Three: Model DigitalAge Work and Learning, I have chosen to include my Independent Technology Project. This project includes many different components, which I created as separate documents and then through exploration and research learned how to combine them all into one document of the same format. During the development of the project I learned how to create a chart in Excel and then import it to Word. I also learned how to select different templates from Word and edit them to fit what I need to do. In summary, during this project I expanded my skills in several Microsoft Office programs, and now have knowledge I did not previously have. This will help me in teaching my students how to operate these programs in the future. This project was an innovative learning process of simple, common digital technology.
