Talking Back
Having the right or opportunity to speak in freedom is one of the most
significant rights that people willing to have. After I read talking back I believe in
deep that giving the person no matter what is his/her gender, color or religion the
chance to say what ever they want and the right to show the people their identity
and opinions. When I thought for couple of seconds about what the author wrote I
assume that having the courage to say what other people afraid of saying it is the
most challenging issue that the honor person might confront.
The author confronted a lot of challenges because her position in that time
period when black women were supposed to not have a speech that speaks to other
women that have a goal or opinion. I think all of the three essays learning to read
,the joy of reading and writing and this one have one character which is breaking
the stereotypes that arent accurate as the Indian boys were expected to be stupid or
if you are kicked out from your school in the earlier grades you must be uneducated
person as I knew about Malcolm X. I guess you are trying to send us a message
which is we can break today stereotypes that prevent us of being a successful
writers in many ways.
