ABSTRACT
The background: self-trust is a positive in thinking to create suggestion that
exists within oneself in the form of confidence and trust against potential and they
shall inherit it, the ability as well as with capability and its potential rlsks the
individuals are all feel able to reach out and realize his dream that gained by the
with exertion alone in himself.Confident when associated with academic
achievement then it is like a belief in themselves individual will be his ability in
working on duty of learning.Confidence in the academic field is an attribute
internal owned by somebody who can motivate and directing behavior to achieve
its goals.
Research purposes: knowing relations between self-trust teenagers by
accomplishments akdemik in man 1 west pontianak in 2014.
A method of: research using the design of correlational with the technique of
cross sectional.The population on this research is all the students / i man 1
pontianak west as many as 245 people with the number of samples 71 people.An
instrument used is a questionnaire with analysis of data chi square test.
Research results: most of the students/i MAN 1 West Pontianak have low
confidence but has a satisfactory rating in terms of the value of report cards an
odd semester class XII which is as many as 69 people 97,2% and who have high
confidence with a very satisfying as much as 2.8% 2.
Conclusion: there is no relationship between the confidence of teenagers with
academic achievement in MAN 1 West Pontianak by 2014.
