To start with , I have chosen to do a research

about football , not only because it is a very well
know and mostly played game on the face of earth
but also because I have a personal interest in the
matter .

To be more specific and frank I do not posses

any athletic skills thus I confess that the talent of
football I lack. However, due to my reading and
observation I have noticed that the beautiful game
has helped so many young gentlemen change their
lives and lead a much more successful ones.
Throughout the past few years many examples have
declared the role of football in the process of giving
boys a chance and hope of a better life.

Romrio Ricardo da Silva as known as

Romario who is the current striker for
Corinthians . He has come from a very humble
background , from a poor deteriorated small town in
Brazel but with his talent and his persistence helped

him to become the best . Romrio was spotted in

childhood when playing for Olaria, a small club from
the Rio de Janeiro suburb. He was taken to the junior
team of Vasco da Gama where he won two state
leagues (1987/88) and earned his first call-ups to the
national team. Romrio came to international
attention when he became the top scorer at
the 1988 Olympic football tournament.
