Homework Journal Week beginning 8th Dec

Maths:
Angles (Choose 1 of the options)
1. Using a pencil and ruler you need to draw at least 5 angles and then use a
protractor to measure them.
2. Using a pencil and ruler you need to draw 5 triangles and then use a
protractor to measure the interior angles. Check your measurements by
making sure they add up to 180.
3. Using a pencil and ruler you need to draw 5 quadrilaterals and then use a
protractor to measure the interior angles. Check your measurements by
making sure they add up to 360.
4. Choose a mixture of the above.
(You may borrow a protractor from school but please make sure you return
it.)
Literacy
Poetry recital
You need to choose a poem you like, learn it off by heart and be prepared to
recite it to the class one day next week.
It doesnt have to be long but you need to be able to recite it paying attention to
the intonation of your voice.
Topic
The Christmas Truce 1914
This week we are learning about the Christmas Truce of 1914. You need to create
a piece of art that you feel represents the truce of 1914. It can be a pencil
drawing, crayons, paint, computer generated, it could be 2d or 3d
The maths needs to be brought into school on Friday 12 th Dec: the
literacy and topic need to be in on Monday 15th Dec.
(There will be no homework next week as it is the last week of term and I believe
you have all excelled yourself with the homework this term!)
