Self Assessment Inventory Interpretation
Self Assessment Inventory Interpretation
The inventory was to help you assess yourself on your personal efficacy. While there are many parameters
developed by different researchers which indicate the level of personal efficacy displayed by an individual, the
questionnaire that you undertook relied on the following 4 parameters:
Exploratory Orientation
The more you do & act, the more you learn about yourself. A person scoring high on this is initiative taking, not
afraid to make mistakes, can also take risks, is restless at work, enjoys high activity, & likes change.
Self-Disclosure
When you communicate with others, you learn more about yourself. The person scoring high on this shows a
willingness to be open to others & share opinions, views, feelings & knowledge with others.
Receptivity to Feedback
This refers to the feedback we receive from others, often about our blind spots. It allows us to assess the impact
of our actions and learn more about our strengths & weaknesses.
Sensitivity
Understanding your own feelings & being sensitive to the feelings of others is vital in our personal effectiveness.
Sensitivity is essential for exploratory orientation, self-disclosure, and receptivity to feedback. It is a basis of all
three. Sensitivity helps you strike a perfect balance between the three.
