Dear Recruiting Committee:
I am applying for the Aftercare Field Office Fellowship. This position would be perfect for me
because, I too have a passion to heal and restore victims of Human Trafficking by allowing God
love to show through me, it is the most crucial part! Advocating for victims of Human
Trafficking in my community and on my college campus has been a large part of my life for five
years now. My experience in conducting research and working with women who have been
victimized, sexually and otherwise will complement your organizations mission well. I have
been in a leadership position in my church, as well as on campus for over five years combined.
Working well under pressure and paying excellent attention to detail are also strong skills of
mine.
Being president of a student organization on campus has allowed me to not only work with many
of my fellow students and professors, gain a better understanding as to how to balance school,
home, and events, but also have gained the experience of combating human trafficking. Last year
our organization was able to bring Exodus Cry to campus to do a showing of Nefarious. We
faced many obstacles however, with prayer and hard work we overcame and made it happen. My
pastor and I run the food pantry and serve free dinners to our community, weekly and have for
the last eight years. Last year I worked closely with my advisor. She received grant money to put
together a film that was to be used in introductory sociology classes on campus. We looked at
many different social issues such as: poverty, gender, and abuse, to name a few. We then used
qualitative and quantitative research methods to go through all of our data and decide what
should be used in the film.
