Alvarez Reacts to IBAs Concerns on Lack of Funding for Infrastructure

SAN DIEGO (December 8, 2014) Councilmember Alvarez has issued the following statement
in response to the Independent Budget Analysts (IBA) assessment of the Mayors Five Year
Financial Outlook:
The IBAs statement calling the Mayors allocation of 50% of major revenue growth for
infrastructure a noteworthy commitment, but unlikely to result in significant funds
compared to magnitude of need should be a wake-up call for all San Diegans.
City streets wont get fixed and fire stations, parks and libraries will be further delayed
without a more significant commitment from this administration.
(IBA review of FY 2016-2020 Five-Year Financial Outlook/December 8, 2014/Item 152)
