Final Script: Audio Essay
My name is Mackenzie Chapman, the title of my project is Boiler Up! Radio, and I am
presenting it for my iCap class as my final draft for an audio essay. This essay is a radio talk
show for Purdue graduates, alumni, students, and fans.
Hello, and thank you for tuning in with Boiler Up! Radio, Purdue Universitys most
intellectual talk show, for you, the students, alumni, and fans of Purdue. I, Mackenzie Chapman,
am here with you tonight to talk about how much you truly know about your beloved Purdue.
Although Purdue contains 372 building, expanding over 2,552 acres, many people on its
campus do not even know the truth behind the school: its infamous secrets, shocking statistics, or
common facts. The best way to see what you all know is to have a trivia game.
May I ask who is talking?

Well, hello Nicholas and thank you for tuning in with Boiler Up. Lets begin our game. I am
going to ask you a few questions about Purdue. After each question I will tell you if you are
correct or not. If you get more than half of your answers correct, you will get free Den Pops for
the next year.

Interviewer: Engineering
Correct, engineering is the most popular major.
Question eight:
What is Purdues fight song? And, can you sing it?
Interviewer: Hail Purdue, of course! But, unfortunately, I cannot sing it. I would embarrass
myself too much.
Well, then I cannot give you credit for that question. Sorry
But, moving on to the next question.

Interviewer: Black and Gold
Technically, the colors are old gold and black, but we will give you the credit regardless.

Interviewer: I know this one! The official mascot is the Boilermaker Special and the unofficial
