Our mission at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring professionally supported 1-1 relationships that change their lives for the better forever. Sheliah was an asset to our agency. She has great people skills that were first noticed during her community outreach projects. Sheliah exhibits a very strong desire to help others and it shows when she interacts with clients. Sheliah is extremely patience when talking to clients. It was amazing to see how patient she was during a frenzied back to school youth event we hosted for the children in our mentoring program. During the event, Sheliah managed to introduce herself to all the children, parents and mentors, take photographs as welll as provide the highest level of customer service. Again it was absolutely amazing. Our youth activities are designed to strengthen family - child - mentor relationships and to give children new positive life experiences. Sheliah certainly helped us achieve those goals during her internship. Sheliah is a team player and is always willing to assist in any way she can. She consistently displays openness to new ideas with an eagerness for knowledge. Sheliah brings an enthusiasm to the room that is refreshing and appreciated by everyone. Her great ‘communication abilities coupled with her vast experiences makes her a strong candidate for any job.
