Head Banker

Responsibilities:
Keep a record of all money flowing into and
out of the Central Classroom Bank.

1 per class

Provide Bankers with money (cash) as


needed.

Manage (collect and record) deposits made to


the Central Classroom Bank.

Receive fine money from the fine officer and


deposit it in the FED account.

Receive utility money from the electrician(s)


and deposit it in the FED account.

Review bank logs to double-check


transactions conducted by Bankers.

Manage newspaper account. Start each month


with $300. They may not go into the negatives.
Any extra money does not roll over to the next
month.

Description

Check the offense log for violations of class rules (i.e. tardy,
missing assignments).

Write and hand out out fine tickets to students who break the
rules.

Keep a record of fines and payments.

Deposit money from fines in the Fine Folder by giving it to the


head banker.

This job requires confidentiality, responsibility, and respect at


all times.

Description

Poll the class to determine appropriate auction items.

Identify ways to obtain the items.

Plan and facilitate fund-raising events to sponsor the auction.

Research and creatively present ideas on how to conserve


energy and reduce the monthly bill.

for students and families.

Write monthly editorial section (teacher-approved topics).

Include the following sections:


Summary of each week for Math and Science
Highlights from the circle
Games played, jokes told, epic moments

Highlights from Science
Advice Section
Advertisements from economy businesses (optional)
May run free or for charge.
PSAs are always free (from the recyclist,
electrician, FED)
Other sections as desired.

The newspaper has an account at the central bank. The


newspaper has a $300 monthly budget* for hiring writers and
photographers as necessary/desired.
*Budget does not rollover. $300 per month limit.

Publishing deadline will be one week after each auction. This


will always be a Friday. 429 Members should be able to
receive a paper at the start of class.

TAI Checker

Description

Checks all TAI folders for their grade. (can use a calculator)

Uses the recommended TAI book sequence, or consults with


Ms. Mullett to figure out what to assign next for each student.

Checks to make sure that the progress blocks recorded on


the wall match those on the summary sheets in each
individuals folder.
Writes checks from the FED account weekly for TAI
progress.
Check off on the wall the boxes that have
already been paid.
