I. INTRO:

II. BASIC INFO:

-12 Again, Sue Corbett, fantasy, realistic fiction
-Patrick McBride, 12 years old, two little brothers
-Farmingdale, Patricks house, modern time
-mother disappears and turns 12 years old again. Up to Patrick to help her return to
normal.
-passage: where Patrick gets an email reply from his mother.
-(pg. 161) I cannot tell you where I am, but I am okay and I am working hard to get
home. I need you to do me a big, big favor. Two favors. The first is, immediately after you read
this message, delete it, and dont tell anybody about it. I need you to keep it secret, otherwise I
might lose the ability to communicate with you this way. Second, and this is trickier, I need you
to help reassure Dad and your brothers that Im okay. Im not in any harm, just stuck
somewhere. I know that sounds mysterious. I cant explain it yet, but maybe someday I will be
able to. Can you tell them you feel in your heart that Im okay?

I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU. Thats one I love you for each of
you. I miss all of you so much. Remember, like Mission Impossible, this message will selfdestruct in five seconds!

III. REVIEW:
-I liked this book very much! Reasons: had me interested, creative plot, had both humor
and mystery. Realistic fiction yet touch of fantasy.
-Yes, I would read something by this author again. Good writing style, has a writing voice
that attracts people my age, this book was fun.
-Students, children, 12-14 year olds; told from a 12 year olds point of view. Not too
basic, not too advanced.

-enjoyed reading it. Highly recommend it.
