POINT PAPER Work Sample Week 11

Subject: For this week I was not able to provide a work sample because
the work I did has private information that cannot be released onto the
Internet. This was the week of the Butterfly Bash, and I created a list,
with accompanying pictures, of all of the important people that we
wanted to talk to and get photographs with at the bash.
Background: This work was important to my project, the Butterfly Bash.
It allowed my company and all of the people we worked with for the
event to have a list of important people that would be in attendance. I
used the following steps to create this work:
Review RSVP list and list Fair Chance gave us
Research guest list
Identify important people and their affiliations
Create list of important people with affiliations and pictures
Discussion
I created this list that we called our Butterfly Bash Faces list to help
us identify people the night of the event.
This list helped us identify people to photograph the night of the event.
This list also helped the photographers and us with photo
identification.
It helped us make sure we did not forget to photograph any important
people.
Throughout the night we referenced the list when people walked into
the event and showed the photographers who they were.
This was successful in helping us find these people and get the correct
names to media and publications.
I enjoyed doing this list because it felt more creative, but also because

I was able to easily find most of the people the night of the event, even
without the list.
I learned the importance of recognizing essential guests such as
donors and celebrities at big events.
For these people, getting photographed and recognized makes them
happier to donate or be the face of the event, and makes it more likely
they will do the same in the future.
