Persuasive Paper

According to educator, Dr. Laurie A. Henry, Critical stance and development of a


strong argument are key strategies when writing to convince someone to agree with
your position. These are essential skills to contain when writing papers and
developing life skills. This assignment will encourage students to developing an
argument, while applying the novel they just read.

Description:
For this assignment you will read two articles. One article will be about why To Kill
a Mockingbird should be banned in schools, and the other article will be about why
To Kill a Mockingbird needs to be taught in schools. You will be required to pick a
stance on this topic and write a persuasive paper, attempting to convince me to
change my opinion to yours.
