Overview/Rational

Counting and cardlnallty numbers. Student should know the


numbers, because it is math basics and they will build their math
knowledge and life with these numbers.
Know number names and the count sequence.
1. Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
2. Count forward beginning from a given number within the
known Sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
3. Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects
with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no
objects
(Common Core States Standards for Mathematics page 12)
Students will be able to:
Recognize the numbers.
Use different kind of tools which help students to
understand the numbers.
Students should recognize some of math words such as
zero, count, number, less, more and etc.
Student should know how to count by ones and twos.
Students should be able to compare between the numbers.

practices.
*They can use an I Pad to learn the same materials.

1. Begin the lesson with writing the title and date on the
board.
2. Ask the student questions related to the lesson to help
them enter the lesson correctly.
3. Explain the lesson by giving question to grab students
attention to the lesson.
4. Explain the lesson with given examples to make the
lesson easier.
5. Open new student account to login to their websites.
Give students questions to make sure if they understand the
lesson.
I will give students individual question.
For example, How many fingers in your right hand?
Also I will split up students into groups and give them question.
How many numbers between 3 and19?
