Goal: To improve test-taking skills for the TOEFL iBT Test; to improve reading, listening, speaking, and writing
skills; to familiarize with question types on the TOEFL.
Objectives: Students Will Be Able To
1. Practice TOEFL speaking skills through simulated exercises.
2. Practice note-taking and summarizing skills for listening and speaking.
3. Determine gist, organization, speaker stance by listening to conversations and lectures.

1.2.1 During Stage:

S1 = Independent Speaking (Free / Paired Choice) 15s/45s
S2 = Listening/Speaking (Paraphrase / Summarize) 15s/30s
In pairs, S1 will practice the Independent Speaking task (15s
planning / 45s speaking), and S2 will practice paraphrasing and
summarizing (15s planning / 30s speaking).
