    Tyrannosaurus

    Mighty Tyrannosaurus was one of the scariest dinosaurs ever!


    In Greek: tyrannos meaning "tyrant", and sauros meaning "lizard.
    Tyrant means a cruel and oppressive ruler.
    It would sneak up on its dinner, and then pounce.
    Other dinosaurs had little chance against the Tyrannosauruss snapping teeth and
    deadly claws.
    An excellent sense of smell helped Tyrannosaurus to sniff out food.
    Their teeth are sharp as knives.
    The back foot of Tyrannosaurus was about 1 meter long (3 feet) = baseball bat.
