family
Nitrogen is part of the other nonmetals family. this includes:
Carbon
Oxygen
Phosphorus
Selenium
and
Sulphur

The Future...
ammonium nitrate- fertilizer and explosive
nitric acid- explosive, propellant, mining explosive, cutting
nitroglycerin, trinitrotoluene, and nitrocellulose- explosives and propellants
for modern firearms
Hydrazine and hydrazine derivatives find use as rocket fuels and
monopropellants
Nitrous oxide (N2O)AKA, laughing gas- partial anesthetic and used in
surgery, most notably in dentistry. Also used to boost car engines.
lithium nitride
magnesium nitride
NOTE*- it is used as a coolant for many things in its liquid form- liquid Nitrogen

Adoption
You can find him literally everywhere! Nitrogen is 78% of earths atmosphere
and you inhale him every day with every breath. Also it is very hard to bond
