Projects
I have designed each of these projects for either a
class project or outside client. I enjoy putting my
creativity into a project and giving the client what
they are looking for. Design has become one of
my other hobbies along with photogrpahy. I hope
you enjoy all of the pieces I have put together to
show you.

Takes Home
Greek Awards
The University of Tennessee
at Martin hosts Greek Awards every spring semester. Awards range
from sorority and fraternity divisions to individual chapter member
recognition. Every Greek chapter
on campus participates in multiple events and service projects in
hopes of receiving a trophy in the
spring semester.
This year four classy ladies of
ZTA were presented with awards.
Tessa Rickman and Dana Maurizio
received the Greek Service Award
for their outstanding service not
only to ZTA but also to the community. Lauren Fielder and Shelby Coleman received awards for
Emerging Greek Leaders.

Big Man On Campus, also
known as BMOC, in April.
All of the proceeds from this
event go directly to breast
cancer education and awareness.
Tessa Rickman, director of philanthropy for
Delta Mu, along with other
committee members started
planning for this event at the
end of the fall semester.
All fraternities and organizations on campus are
encouraged to participate in
BMOC. This year a new rule
was added where any sorority could sponsor a male to be
a contestant.
The event kicked off the

week before with contestants asking for donations

to be crowned Mr. Charitable. This award is presented
the night of the pageant to
the contestant with the most
money donated during that
week. An added bonus this
year, whoever had the most
money raised the night before the pageant would receive an extra 5 points to be
added to his score the night
of BMOC.
Big Man On Campus
started with a bang and ended with an even bigger one.
Zach Ward was named Mr.
Charitable and Rick Drewry
was named Mr. Big Man On

of all of the contestants and

A Time To Laugh And A

Time To Cry
Delta Mu honors the
graduating seniors each semester by giving them a
Senior-Sendoff
event.
This event gives the graduating seniors an opportunity
to spend time with collegiate
ZTA sisters and alumnae.
Senior-sendoff also allows
the seniors to reflect on their
college career.
Each graduating senior
receives a special scrapbook filled with pictures and
memories from their college
career. Their collegiate ZTA
sisters put these books together for them. Each member of the chapter has the
opportunity to send in their
favorite pictures and stories

about each senior.

The most heartwarming
part of ZTAs senior-sendoff
is the reading of the letters
to the seniors. Instead of just
writing favorite memories
some members choose to

their organizations, Delta

Mu raised almost $5,000.
This more than tripled the
amount raised the first year.
The ladies of ZTA hope to
continue their efforts in the
future to raise even more
money for breast cancer education and awareness.

letters can be read to those
graduating at the event and
during this time all of the
tears begin to fall. This
event shows the strong bond
of ZTA sisterhood and what
their sorority is founded
upon.

Ribbons
UTM Relay for Life is a
time for the campus to come
together to raise awareness
and money for those fighting
with cancer everyday. Relay
for Life events are always
heart warming and touching
but with a little entertainment as well. UTM strives
to bring both awareness and
entertainment into one every
year.
The sisters of ZTA set
up a booth along with other
organizations to help raise
money during the UTM
Relay for Life event. The
booths theme, Its Showtime, was your one stop
shop for popcorn and other
movie themed treats. Since
ZTAs philanthropy is breast
cancer education and awareness their table was also
decked out in pink ribbons
and accents.
The efforts made by all
of those who participated
in the UTM Relay for Life
event raised over $24,000 to
be donated to The American
Caner Society.

year to help raise money to
buy instruments for classrooms. They believe in the
future of music and hope to
share their passion for music
with others. The competition
is open to fraternities and sororities.
Zeta Tau Alpha competed against two other sororities. Each competing group
was allowed to pick their
own theme for their music
and costumes. Zetas show
was based off of the movie
Sister Act with their show
called Sisters In Motown.
After singing their hearts

And The Winner Is...Zeta Tau Alpha

Greek Week is always
an exciting time on the UT
Martin campus. All of the
fraternities and sororities
compete against each other
in some events and work together in others to raise money to be donated to a specific
charity. This year the Greek
community decided to work
together to raise money for
the Carl Perkins Center.

The first event of Greek

Week was a service night
where all of the chapters
came together to help the
Carl Perkins Center prepare
for their upcoming gala.
Night two of Greek Week
consisted of Greek Olympics. This event was comprised of minute to win it
games where fraternities and
sororities were paired up

to compete. Event number

three was Line Dance where
each fraternity or sorority
competed against one another. Step Show wrapped up
Greek Week on Friday night
where each group competed
against each other again.
The sisters of Zeta Tau
Alpha worked hard for each
of these events. ZTA placed
in each of the competitions.

They were awarded 2nd place

in Greek Olympics, 2nd place
in Step Show, and 1st place
in Line Dance. For each
of these events they were
awarded points, which led
them to tie with Chi Omega
winning Greek Week for the
sorority division.

Each of these teams worked hard to help bring home the overall award of Greek Week champion (from Left) Line Dance
Team, Greek Olympics Team, and Step Show Team

New Leaders Emerge All Across The

State Of Tennessee
Zeta Tau Alpha officers
serve a one-year term from
January to December. In November each year applications become available and
members begin to fill them
out in hopes of becoming a
leader in the chapter. There
are two different councils,
the Executive Council and
the Programs Council, which
make up a Zeta officer team.
The Programs Council is similar to the heart of
the chapter. They plan most
of the events and keep the
chapter running. The Executive Council is the decision making portion of the
chapter. They also plan a

well.
The newly elected Executive Council attends
State Wide Officer Training
(SWOT) each year. This year
it was held in Murfreesboro,
Tennessee at the Middle
Tennessee State University
Center. Officers meet other
Zetas from across the state,
who are in the same Executive position. SWOT gives
the officers a chance to learn
more about their specific office and what they can do to
make it even better.

All of the collegiate and alumae members of the Delta Mu chapter who attended Zeta Day took a picture with the 75-year
member who helped found the chapter.

Zeta Day is one of the most
exciting days for both alumnae and collegiate members.
Zeta Day is a time for both
worlds to come together to
enjoy spending time with sorority sisters and to cheer for
all of those who win awards.
Awards are given out to
both alumnae and collegiate

members for many different

categories. Individuals and
chapters are both eligible for
awards. Two Delta Mu collegiate members won awards.
Taylor Wade was presented
with the Zeta Lady award
and Haley Drulman was
presented with the Unsung
Hero award.
One of the most amaz-

ing awards given out at these

years Zeta Day was the 75year member award. Not
only has she been a member
for 75 years but she is also
one of the founders of the
Delta Mu chapter of Zeta
Tau Alpha. The joy on her
face when she received her
award brought most of the
room to tears.

The joy and happiness in

the room during a Tennessee
Zeta Day is amazing. One
could walk into the room
not knowing why all of these
women were there and feel
the outpouring sisterly love
among them.

Zeta Goes For The Gold

Zeta Tau Alpha
Delta Mu chapter participates in intramural
sports each semester.
Intramural sports give
everyone an opportunity to continue to play
sports after high school.
Sisters of ZTA enjoy
playing sports and competing against others as
a team.

The goal for Delta Mu chapter this year

was to win the gold level

award. This is a special
award because it means
that you participated
and placed in every
intramural sport for the
year. This year ZTA Delta
Mu chapter won that
award for the first time
since they came back to
UTM three years ago.
