Problem: The Historical Society of Glen Ellyn wants a self-guided tour that shares the
historical significance of our community. Your job is to create an engaging and educational
historical tour of Glen Ellyn. This tour should highlight six or seven historically significant
locations and the format should be designed to appeal to school-aged children and their families.
These locations must be included:
Lake Ellyn/Hotel
Stacys Tavern
2 historical homes/architecture
1 additional location

walking tour?
2. What is the most effective way to communicate the
history of Glen Ellyn? (audience & purpose)
