EvaluationandReturnonInvestment

MyTumblrblogreceivedanaverageviewingtimeof3minutes.Thiswasamajor
returnsincemostaveragetimesarenotevenover1minute.FacebookLikesexceededthe
goalof200to227.Twitterfollowersdidnotreachthegoal,butengagementonTwitter
exceededthatofbothFacebookandTumblr.

MyLikesonFacebookexceededmygoalby27sofar.Iplantocontinuemyproject
andhopefullyhavemoreengagementonFacebook.Atthebeginningofmyproject,Iwas
onlypostingonFacebookeveryfewdaysbutnowItrytomakesurethatIposteverydayor
everyotherday.IhadsingersandotherartistspostmypageURLontheirpageandwasable
toreachmorefollowers.ThisweekIhadsomeoneinEastTennesseereplytooneofmy
storiespostedonFacebook.ThiswasamajoraccomplishmentformebecauseIdidnotknow
whoshewasorhowshefoundmypage.Ialsolearnedthatapicturealongwithastatuswas
thebestcombinationtoengagefollowersonmypage.

AlthoughIdidnotreachmygoalof100followers,Iamwellonmyway.Injustone
week(April20th27th)Igained12followers.Inthebeginning,IwasonlypostingonTwitter
onceadayifthat.AftermyauditIknewIhadtostartpostingregularlyandletmyfollowers

knowIwasstillthere.Inowpostatleast3timesadayifnotmore.Ihopetocontinue
engagingwithmyfollowersandkeepingthementertainedwithmyposts.

AlthoughmyaveragetimeonmyTumblrpagestayedabove3minutesmy
engagementdecreasedthroughoutmyproject.IdidnotpostonTumblrasmuchasIwould
havelikedto.IplantocontinuemyprojectandutilizeTumblrbetterthanIhavebefore.

ProjectReflections

LookingbackonmyprojectIknowthattherewerethingsIcouldhaveusedmore
effectively.HootsuitescheduledpostswasonemajortoolIwishIwouldhaveutilized.This
wouldhavehelpedmebymakingsureIpostedatthetimeIhadinmycontentcalendar.It
wouldhavealsohelpedmefollowmycontentcalendarbetter.
IwouldlikedtokeepmyengagementonTumblrontheincreaseratherthanthe
decrease.IdorealizethatitismyfaultbecauseIdidnotpostonTumblrregularlybutIplanto
useitmoreeffectivelynow.
IwishIwouldhaveusedStorifymoreformystories.Iliketheuserfriendlysetupof
Storify.Thetoolsyouhavetowriteyourstoriesareamazing.UsingStorifyalsohelpsget
moreengagementonTwitterbecauseyoucantweetthosewhoarequotedinyourstory.
EachofmyStorifystoriesgotover10viewsandoneevenover20.

IamsurethereareotherthingsIcouldhavedonebetterbutIalsohaveafewthingsI
amveryproudof.Ireachedandsurpassedoneofmygoalsbeforemydeadline.Ihadastar
fromTheVoicefollowmeonTwitterbeforeIhadthechancetofollowher.OnApril27thshe
eventweetedatme.ImadeaconnectiononTwitterwithanartistinCanadaandsheshared
myFacebookpagewithallofherfollowers.SomehowIreachedpeopleinCanadaandIndia
withmypostsinthepastmonth.Ihaveattachedafewsnapshotsofsomeofmybiggest
achievementsthroughoutthisproject.Abovealloftheseoneofmybiggestaccomplishments
wasthatIfoundsomethingthatIenjoydoing.Iplantocontinuetoblogaboutcountrymusic
becauseIenjoywritingandengagingwithmyfollowers.

AtthetimeofthispostIonlyhadalittleover150followers.
