For our February science night, you will be choosing a biome and explaining an example of a food chain within that
area.
This project is completely up to you, but will be completed in-class only. There will be science project days assigned
every week. While the project is individual, I will buddy you up with a partner to help you with your ideas and visual
aids.
The only criteria, that can be seen below, is what needs to be shown and/or described somewhere and
clearly noticed by your audience/the reader!! So please be creative, detailed and organized!

RESEARCH and NOTES:
Using your topic/question as a guide, you thoroughly research facts to find answers and interesting facts
This research includes many notes, diagrams, pictures, etc
At least two books are used and two credible websites
o Feel free to go to the public library or access resources at home bring them into school!
A detailed Works Cited is included in these notes
o For proper format guidelines, see the back of your agenda!
HAND-OUT and VISUAL AID
For your presentation, you must include a hand-out for the class that will allow your classmates to easily
take notes.
o Examples notes with fill in the blanks, slides from your presentation, your facts in T/F
statements, etc.
o Must be 1-2 pages long
o This must be submitted by: Thursday, January 23, so Mrs. Rizzuto can make all the handouts into
one booklet.
For your presentation, you must include a visual aid that is very descriptive/informational and nice to look
at!
o This must be large enough to be put on display during your presentation, as well as for science
night!
PRESENTATIONS:
You are to present your findings to the class in an intriguing/entertaining, yet informational way!
o This presentation must be between 7-10 minutes.
