Introduction
This presentation gives a brief synopsis of the

great accomplishments registered during the 4

years of implementing the diocesan ten year
strategic plan ( IMSP-2011-2020).
It represents the work registered by each

department in the diocese. In other words it sets

what was supposed to be achieved and whether
it has been achieved
The achievements are summarized by the graph

in the proceeding slide.

Promote maternal and child health

services
Services targeting children and mothers are going

on in the diocese. This is made real with our

established health facilities. Health out reaches
have also contributed much to this activity.

strengthen the capacity of hospital and

health centre IV to provide treatment to HIV/
AIDS clients.
Kagando hospital, st. paul health centre Iv ,

Rwesande health centre Iv and other diocesan

health facilities have played a big role in providing
care and treatment of opportunistic infections to
Christians in the diocese.

Capacity building for staff to enhance skills

development.
In an effort to strengthen the human resources of

the diocese the diocese is continuing to have its

personnel enroll in different specialties like
medicine, nursing , counseling, social work etc.
currently the diocese caters for 25 people under
going different trainings.
More so diocesan staff going for up grading on

individual basis have been recommended. This

has spured the competences of the team in the
diocese

Advocate for health seeking

behaviors and prevention
A lot of community mobilization on positive

health seeking behavior has been and is

continuing to be done. Both preventive and
curative measures

Advocate to make kagando a national

practicum site for doctors and other medical
students in the country
Aware that the centre is being transformed into a

university. you will realize that this is a reality its

is now working.

Believing that most diseases are water

related,the diocese has worked hard to make

sure that the water sources are safe for the
christians.

schools in each archdeaconry.

Strengthen the existing formal and

nonformal vocational centers.

Advocate for the Establishment of a study

centre for Uganda Christian University which

Open up ECD centre to prepare the under

During the last synod, we agreed to start early

child development centers. And we are happy to

register 251 ECDs in the diocese

In order to spur education in the diocese each

archdeaconry is supposed o have model primary

and secondary school to train children in the
diocese.
