Materials:
16 circular needles US Size 8
Stitch Marker
Gauge:
30 stitches = 6 (2 repeats)
32 rows = 6.25 (2 repeats)
on US Size 8
Cast on 90 stitches, join in round and place marker.
Row 1: *K2, P9, K2, P2 repeat from * to end.
Repeat this pattern for 2 more rounds.
Row 4: Begin first row of growing leaves pattern (see below).
Repeat all 16 rows of pattern 3 times (51 rows completed).
Row 52: *K10, K2tog, K1, P2 repeat from * to end.
Row 53: *K9, K2tog, K1, P2 repeat from * to end.
Row 54: *P9, K2, P2 repeat from * to end.
Repeat this pattern for 2 more rounds.
Bind off in pattern.

Notes:
On row 2 the YO is followed by a purl. Make sure to wrap your YO around to make the extra
stitch.
If you want to knit a flat swatch you can use the chart making sure to read even rows from left
to right. I used to link to a flat version of the pattern but the link is no longer active.
If you use worsted weight yarn with size 6 or 7 needles, add one
repeat of pattern, casting on 105 sts, and knit 8 extra rows of the
pattern. Last 5 rows would be : K1, SSK, K10, P2 repeat to end, then
SSK, K10, P2 repeat to end, then 3 rows of P1, K1, P4, K1, P3, K1,
P2.
