god for his blessings following our way, bringing up success in every aspect of our life.
I am deeply indebted to our director Dr. M .N Bandhopadhyay
and HOD Dr. R Shridharan,Ph.D ,national institute of technology for offering me to do the
training in this company.
I would like to thank Mr. G .Radhakrishnan, DGM who permitted
me to do training in the Travancore cochin chemicals Ltd., Mr. C. Sreemohan, DM (engineer)
Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd. And Mr. E.B.Francis. Chief Engineer (maintenance),
Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd. Who gave us wonderful guidance throughout the training
and we would like to thank all technical and non technical staff in Travancore Cochin Chemicals
Ltd. Who served us appreciable information during the training.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION


The Travancore Cochin Chemicals Limited Udyogamandal
is a state sector undertaking owned by the government of kerala. Reflecting the quality policy of
commitment and excellence TCC has a good track record of profitable operation and healthy
industrial relations. A heavy chemical industry engaged in the marketing and manufacturing of
caustic soda , chlorine and allied chemicals, TCC is accredited with ISO 9001:2008 certification.
They are well aware of the responsibility that manufacturing
industries bear towards environment. Conserving the resources of environment from pollution
and preserving healthy living conditions are important things that concern TCC. Their
commitment is to sustain the toxic free environment observing statutory stipulations and legal
regulations.
The TCC belies in pollution prevention rather than pollution
control. Their activities comprise awareness programs among the employees, customers,
contractors and all those who are associated with them . Their endeavor is to minimize
hazardous emission and to reduce impact of manufacturing activities.
The TCC aims to achieve zero affluent discharge by the end
of this year.
