Implementation of Automatic Gas Monitoring in A Domestic Energy Management System
Implementation of Automatic Gas Monitoring in A Domestic Energy Management System
Implementation of Automatic Gas Monitoring in A Domestic Energy Management System
AIM:
The main aim of the project is to design automatic gas monitoring solution has been
presented involving its hardware design, the integration within the DEHEMS architecture.
COMPONENTS:
Ethernet module, Gas sensor, relay, load, SMART Meter, Buzzer, LPC2148 (ARM7),
GSM modem
EXISTING METHOD:
The existing method is domestic energy management system provides effective
positive behavior change by offering end users direct and ambient feedback based on their
monitored energy consumption and experiences. DEHEMS, as a wide scale domestic energy
monitoring and managing system differs from others by enabling real-time and historical
electricity monitoring and feedback. However, there is also a requirement to be able to
monitor and report domestic gas consumption in order to reason and represent more
complete energy feedback information to achieve effect positive behavior changes.
PROPOSED METHOD:
The objective of DEHEMS is to integrate and test the effectiveness of innovative
persuasive strategies delivered via an intelligent electronic system infrastructure that is
able to infer and reason the energy behavior of the households, received from a number of
different sensing technologies. Monitoring of gas consumption is inevitable for the
DEHEMS project to achieve this goal.
