Theme for this Year: The theme for this year is "Inclusion".

As time passes by, we see there are

two Indias emerging, urban and rural, with disparity between them increasing each passing
second. Rural India while home to majority of the population, contributes very little to the GDP.
It lags behind its Urban brother be it in Banking, Mobile Penetration or Internet Penetration. All
this while Tier-I cities come under strain and are beginning to saturate. As India wakes up to the
importance of Inclusive growth and its impact on the social fabric, This OJAS... Lets find out
ways to grow together.
Challenge: We would like participants to give us innovative ideas which corporates can
undertake to improve the quality of rural facilities and infrastructure for the benefit of rural India.
What must you do?
1. Identify the major problems which are causing the rural-urban divide. These problems
can be spread across the areas which you think are important. You are expected to choose
broad areas like Telecom (TMT), Consumer Goods, Financial Services, IT, Infrastructure
etc
2. Suggest solutions for rural inclusiveness in the area that you have selected.
3. The submission must include the problems faced by rural areas in this sector and feasible
solutions. Quality and depth of solutions will form the primary basis for evaluation, along
with the issues identified and the overall approach taken.
4. You may choose to explore multiple problems across multiple sectors or deep dive into
one sector and provide solutions for that sector alone. This is left to you!
5. This time, MPower is an open-ended challenge and we would like students to think of
creative means to solve this problem.
Concept: The purpose of conducting MPower is to utilize the creativity and business acumen of
Indian students to come up with sustainable and tangible solutions to the social issues of India.
