Work Process
NAS Member contacts NAS Helpline or Payer advising them that he/she wishes to undergo
treatment in India at a designated network provider.
The member specifies the kind/type of treatment he/she wishes and the time frame for
him/her to attend the provider.
NAS contacts MD India, issues a pre-approval as per the Member's needs, and intimates MD
India to make necessary arrangements at the chosen provider.
Upon completion of the requisite formalities MD India notifies NAS with the
prearrangements made at the designated provider.
The beneficiary can proceed to the designated network provider with guaranteed treatment
access.
In the unlikely event that a beneficiary calls MD India directly (perhaps via a provider), MD
India has been instructed to relay all the information to NAS who will then issue
authorizations as appropriate.
NB: Mode of communication can be any media (telephone, fax, email, letter etc.)
