Our Daily Bread

Through June 30, 2014

Every day is a struggle for individuals suffering from

mental illnesses and chemical addictions. For many
who are homeless, it is nearly impossible to access
mental health services and medication. Your support
of CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread in Galveston
provides guidance and structure to homeless clients,
assisting them as they develop a plan of action to
break the cycles of addiction and despair.

CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread takes a holistic approach in pursuing
its mission to the homeless ministering to the needs of the body,
mind and spirit of each individual. Staff members and volunteers
assist clients in
Confronting the causes of homelessness, addiction and
other pertinent disabilities of the mind and body
Getting nutritious meals, clean clothing, the
necessities of personal hygiene
Gaining admission to a structured recovery program.
Nurturing hope and creating possibility.

The success of Johnny M.

In May of 2013 I had gone down the scale of life, all the way
to the bottom. I was hopeless, homeless and had nowhere to
go. Alcohol had destroyed my life. I ended up in Galveston at
CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread. They took me in, fed me and guided
me through a program for recovery. They helped me
rebuild my life through counseling, love and God. This ministry
has made a new man out of me. I will forever be grateful to
everyone at Our Daily Bread. God Bless You All. Amen.
