Weighed in the Lords Balances

Dan 5:25-28
And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN
This is the interpretation of the thing:
MENE: God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
TEKEL: Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
PERES: Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
The Concept of Weighing Balances

The Concept of the Standard Weight

Standard is an expectation, reference for comparison

The Standards of Men

Are mens expectations of fellow men;

Are weak due to the weakness of man

Are altered by men

o to suit changing trends, times and circumstances
o due to limitation in our perspective
Do not endure the test to time

The Standards of God

The Expectations of God;

Unchanging
Not negotiable
Does not accept excuses because of 2 Pet. 1:3, 4

Who is on the Weighing Balances?

a) The APOSA member

Gods expectation is HOLINESS (the 2nd Circumcision, may third and fourth ++++)
b) THE APOSA VISION
Gods Expectation if Out of Shushan to Jerusalem for Work
Note:
APOSA is a vehicle and not a destination
APOSA is a process and not an end-product
APOSA is a means to an end and not an end in its self
APOSA is a carrier and not the content
