Rock Collection

Four more rocks are due by Friday.

(That means you need to have a total

of 14 rocks.)

Remember, each rock needs to be different.

Think about hard, soft, heavy, light, shiny, dull,
smooth, rough. And dont get fooled by a pebble!

Showcase
project
The information for this project has been posted
on the classroom website. Please take the time to
access the link called Showcase and read this
carefully with your child. The Project
Confirmation Slip has been given to your child.
Please sign and return the Project Confirmation
by Friday. A Project Log has also been provided
for every student. This log will be used to keep
track of all the artifacts that s/he will be creating.
It will also be used to write label sentences for
each artifact. We will be talking a lot about this
project in class this week.

The first artifact is "due" on MONDAY (12th).
The topic is California Regions. Please check
out pictures of sample artifacts on the website. I
will also have artifacts here in the classroom on
display. You may drop in to look at them any
time. The students will always have the option to
work on their artifacts as partners. The artifact
sentence will be written together in class so you
will not have to worry about that part of the
project.
