Mark Twains Timeline

1.Mark/Samuel Was Born on November 30,1835 and grew up with 7 brothers and sisters. Sam
was Marks original birth name,also he was the 6th child to be born his family. Although their
family had many kids many of them survived through childhood.
2.About 4 years after Marks birth, their whole family moved to Hannibal,Missouri for the sake of
the fathers job. When Mark turned 12 Marks dad died of pneumonia and shortly after left school
to find a job. Mark found a job as a printers apprentice which sparked the love of Marks writing.
3. As Mark turned 18 he moved to New York to find more jobs and later worked for many
newspaper companies. With the civil war happening and other places he visited, an article for
the newspaper starts to start with the ideas kept in his mind throughout the events that had
happened. Shortly after published Mark started to write more things knowing that he has the
potential to become a major writer.

4.In 1868 Mark proposed to Oliva Largdon twice and accepted the second. Mark and Oliva got
married in Elmira,New York. They lived in Buffalo,New York from 1869 to 1871.
5. Mark begins to publish many stories in the newspaper he was working for. A Connecticut
Yankee in King Arthurs Court was written by Mark Twain in 1889.
6. Olivia dies in 1904 and Mark moved with his family to Hartford, Connecticut.
7. Mark also starts to write his autobiography.
8.Last Mark moved to his last house in Redding Connecticut in 1908
9. Mark came into deep depression due to the many deaths of his own family. Later on he
started to help a friend earn money due to the San Francisco earthquake which made here
homeless.
10.Mark died on April,21 1910 from a heart attack in Redding, Connecticut.
