The purpose of this report is to assess the suitability of the Bora Bora Island as a possible

destination for package holidays for the Alexandras Travel Agency.

The Bora Bora island is perfectly located near Tahiti being surrounded by a lagoon and a
barrier reef. It is therefore only accessible by planes or cruise ships. Planes have five or six
flights daily to the Bora Bora Airport and boats are available 24 hours 7 days per week.
traveling from the airport to the hotel, restaurants or to one of the beaches is possible by taxis
and even small boats. The buses run between the centre of the island and the tourist
attractions every 20 minutes during the week and 10 in the weekend. However, services may
be limited, especially early in the morning or late at night.
The Bora Bora island offers an excellent range of facilities. The lagoon forms the centre of
activities, being the stage for numerous adventures from shark-feeding excursions and
swimming with giant turtles, to scuba diving, jet-skiing and so on. Bora Bora also offers
plenty of cultural and historical attractions, like taking a day trip to an ancient temple,
exploring the relics, browsing the art and craft galleries. On the other hand, access to internet
and mobile services is quite rare, an internet caf being located in the south of the island.
Resorts, hotels and pensions all of them are perfectly suitable for a package holiday due to
their excellent amenities, great location or unique attributes. In the summer they are all open
for tourists, since November and until the coldness becomes unbearable. The costs vary
depending on the category the hotel is included in. A 5 star hotel may cost from 1000 pounds
to 5000 pounds per night per family. The facilities are available on weekday mornings from 9
to 11 am or on the weekend nights after 8 pm depending on what facility you choose. The
restaurants have a great variety of food for every kind of person and are open 24 hours.
In conclusion, the Bora Bora island would be able to provide perfectly all the facilities
necessary for package holidays. Most importantly, the island offers spectacular sights, views.
The slight increase of the cost of the whole package holiday is acceptable given the all
facilities that are being offered.
