Happy New Year!

I hope you had a wonderful Winter Break! I
can not believe that we are almost half way
through this school year! We have a lot of
work ahead of us as we enter 3rd Quarter
and your ongoing support at home and at
school is truly appreciated.
We have rescheduled our Writer in Residence. Mr. Craft, for the week of February
2nd. We will have our Poetry Slam at 9:30
on Friday, February 6th in the Gym. Hope to
see you there!
Please let me know of any questions or concerns that you may have as we progress
throughout this year together.

Take Care,
Mrs. Applegate

!
Thank You!
Thank you for your support with our Pajama Day Read-A-Thon. It was a great success! Our Guest Readers were fantastic and
the snacks were enjoyed by all. What a
wonderful way to wrap up 2014!

Multiplication tables should be reviewed each

night. This is something that is to be practiced
ALL YEAR. I recommend choosing one table
(0-10) to practice to mastery. Just 5 minutes
of practice a day can really make all the difference
Reading and discussing what has been read is
VITAL in keeping on track in 3rd grade. This
should be done everyday at home.
