Scientific Method

There are many steps of Scientific method. The scientific inquiry is the
diverse ways that scientists study the natural world. The steps are creating a posing
question, developing hypothesis, designing experiments, collecting and interpreting
data, drawing conclusions, and communicating ideas and results. The first step is to
include posing questions, which causes them to create questions about the certain
topic and helps them find the solution. Then, they develop a hypothesis, which leads
to predictions that can be tested. Designing an experiment is a way to test a
prediction. After, the scientists collect and interpret data. Before an experiment,
they collect a data table for recording their data. A data table will help because it is
an organized way to collect and record data. The scientists after interpreting their
data draw a conclusion about their hypothesis. This states whether or not the data
supports the hypothesis. The last step is to communicate. This means people can
communicate their data, conclusions, and their ideas with each other. The scientific
method is a great way to communicate data and understand the experiment more.
The way to test a prediction is to design an experiment. First, the scientist
will need to examine all the parameters. The factor that can be measured in the
experiment is parameters. There are different types of variable parameters. In an
advanced experiment they would use the manipulated variable. The expected
change of the manipulated variable would be the responding variable. If the
situation were measuring a shadow, the responding variable would be the height of
the shadow. The scientists keep all of the variables other than the manipulated and
responding variables under control because they want to make sure the changes in
the manipulated variables are causing changes in the responding variable. When
only one parameter is manipulated at the time it is called a controlled experiment.
