About the Prosect The minor project is part off year long project, which will be a 92:80 minute long: animated short. Inspired by Japanese art and paper craft such as traditional paper fans, the short will take place in a Japanese antique shop ~ where the paintings within the paper decora™ tions come to lif at midnight. A Capanese crane breaks out of his paper fan, to hunt fr prey, He comes across a fan with two Hoy carp swimming around, He snatches one ofthe fish - The remaining carp takes an adventure through the antique shop, exploring the different paper worlds, to rescue his love. In the Paper world, the characters and enri- vonments will be designed in the traditional Japanese art style, and in the ‘real’ world, they will be designed more realisticly, The aim ofthe short is to create an animation to represent the japanese artstyle, incorporating the paper elements of japanese craft, llowing’a narrative that is also illustrative.
