For this unit, you will choose THREE of the tasks below to complete them by Friday April 11. (You can turn it in early.) You will have time to work on these assignments in class, but you will likely need to work on it on your own as well. This project is worth 100 points total (with 33 1/3 points per assignment). List any sources you use, other than your textbook. Use MLA format when citing sources. Make sure that all of your products are creatively and neatly done-create something to be proud of. This sheet should be attached to your assignments when you submit them. Submit all three together. Name: ______________________________________________________ Date: ____________________ 1. Make an illustrated timeline of 7-10 key events during World War I. Your events must be related to a common theme and your timeline should have a title. Each event should have a 1-2 sentence description.

WWI soldier. Create an appropriate illustration for that poem. Poems from WWI can be found here:

Your finished product should
be a sheet of paper that includes both the illustration AND the poem.

theme. 4. Create an original propaganda poster. Your poster can be from the perspective of any country that participated in World War I. It can be in color or black and white.
5. You are a senator in 1918.
Write a 2-3 paragraph speech either in support or opposition to the League of Nations. Why do you feel the way that you do? What are the pros and/or cons of your position?
6. Pretend that the United
States did not join the Allies in fighting during WWI. Write 2-3 paragraphs that explain what might have happened. When would the war have ended? Who would have won? How would the results have been different? This may be typed or handwritten.
7. Create a comic strip about
the causes of the SpanishAmerican War. It should have 5-8 panels, and include accurate historical facts, people, and events. It can be in color or in black and white.
8. Write a diary entry from the
perspective of a major leader during the World War I era. Your choices include:
9. Find a political cartoon
about the Treaty of Versailles. (Print it out, and write a short analysis (2 paragraphs) of the cartoon:
