Identifying Characteristics The wild boar will have very large shoulders
and its snout is longer than other hogs. Its typical color is black but their fur can be
any color or pattern. The boar was introduced to the U.S.A in 1500s so they are now
very abundant. They have no predators in the U.S.

boar in the US. They cause

- Their jaws are strong enough to snap a human arm in half.

Last Seen The Wild Boar was brought over by Europeans for food and a new
game species.

Suspected Hideouts

Reward Although it is not a threat to any other species there are way too many
in our country. Hunting does not seem to cause any dent in their population. We
cannot use helicopter hunting because they hear the helicopters and hide.
Contraceptives could be toxic to the animals that they interfere with. As could
poison. There are no specific plans to be taken to remove the hogs, although hunting
them is very encouraged in many states. They are extremely smart creatures so this
can be difficult.
