Step 1: When a play goes to Broadway they add in scenes and songs to further develop the story. With your partner, write a scene that could be added into the play that adds to the story. It can be between as many characters as you want. You are writing the scene, not necessarily performing it. Requirements: 1. It must be between 2 and 3 pages long. 2. It can be one long scene or two-three shorter scenes. 3. It must add to the story, not just be a random conversation. Example: I might write a conversation between Elsas parents when they first found out she had powers as a baby. Or I might add a scene about how Christoff became an orphan (or whatever hes supposed to be). Step 2: Bringing an animated movie to live theater involves a lot of creative thinking. Special effects are very hard to re-create on stage. List on this page ten special effects that will be hard for technical directors to re-create. (Note: make things freeze counts ONE time). 1. _______________________________________________________________ 2. _______________________________________________________________ 3. _______________________________________________________________ 4. _______________________________________________________________ 5. _______________________________________________________________ 6. ________________________________________________________________ 7. ________________________________________________________________ 8. ________________________________________________________________ 9. ________________________________________________________________ 10. ________________________________________________________________
