Former St. Johns County Commissioners & Veterans, Mark Miner & Ray Quinn,
Endorse Travis Hutson for Senate District 6
St. Augustine, Fla. Republican Candidate Travis Hutson today announced that Mark Miner, former
chairman of the St. Johns County Commission, and Sergeant Major Ray Quinn (USA, Retired), former
member of the St. Johns County Commission, endorsed him in his bid for the Special Election for Senate
District 6, which will be held on January 27, 2015.
I am proud to endorse Travis Hutson in his bid for Senate District 6, said Miner, who is also a member of
the Florida Army National Guard and a two-time veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I believe he is the
Republican we need defending our rights up in Tallahassee; he is focused on economic growth, lowering
taxes and creating more jobs in Northeast Florida, which is exactly what we need for our community to
thrive.
Travis Hutson is the real conservative our district needs, said Sergeant Major Quinn, who is also vice
chairman of the Veterans Council of St. Johns County, Fla. He has done an excellent job representing us in
the Florida House, and I look forward to supporting him as he looks to be elected to the Florida Senate. He is
an active member of our community and I know he will work hard on behalf of our regions veterans.
I am humbled to have the support of Miner and Sergeant Major Quinn, said Hutson. Both Mark and Ray
have shown tremendous dedication to our state, nation and community; and, each has defended our core
American values. If elected to Senate District 6, I pledge to fight for the values that make America the
nation we know and love in the Florida Senate.
Since announcing his candidacy for Senate District 6, Hutson has been endorsed by Florida Commissioner of
Agriculture Adam Putnam, Former St. Johns County Representative Bill Proctor, State Attorney R.J.
Larizza, Sheriffs David Shoar and Ben Johnson, St. Johns County Tax Collector Dennis Hollingsworth and
Flagler County Clerk of Court Gail Wadsworth. Senate District 6 includes Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns
Counties, as well as part of Volusia County.
