Metal is a solid material which is typically hard, shiny, malleable,
fusible and ductile, with good electrical and thermal conductivity
Metal is divided into four categories, there are base metal, ferrous
metal, noble metal and precious metal.

Polymers is a substance which has a molecular structure built up

completely from a large number of similar unit bonded together.

Conclusion & recommendation

There are many uses of metal and polymers in a structural and non-structural
construction. Those material can be both use whether for internal use or
external use.
Apart from that, the advantages and disadvantages of the materials should
be considered before using it to make the structure can be use for a long
time.

Recommendations
Repair the leakage of the water piping system.
Apply coating material on the rails at the staircase.
