NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Pittsburg City Council will hold a public hearing on: Date: January 20, 2015 Time: 6:00 p.m. Place: City Council Chamber at City Hall 65 Civic Avenue, Pittsburg, California Concerning the following matter: Consideration of an Appeal of a Planning Commission Decision to Deny a Use Permit Amendment for Arco AM/PM in the San Marco Development, AP-14-1013 (UP). On October 14, 2014, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and subsequently, by vote of 5 to 2, denied a request to amend a previously-approved use permit that allows the operation of a retail gas station with convenience store and drive-through car wash on a 1.4-acre site at the northwest comer of San Marco Boulevard and West Leland Road. The requested amendment consisted of two components: 1) extension of the hours for retail sales of prepackaged alcohol from the convenience store, from 9:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m., to 6:00 a.m. through midnight; and 2) allowance of the sale of beer in manufacturer-assembled multi-packs of three or more containers, rather than four or more containers. On October 23, 2014, the applicant/property owner filed an appeal of the Planning Commission's decision, You are invited to submit comments regarding any aspect of this matter in writing or verbally at the public hearing.
