Description of Proposed Activity:

Service trip to the province of Qinghai in North West China to teach children in
orphanages English.

living with a lack of resources
experiencing how to teach younger children

learning how to look after disadvantaged children

What do you want to achieve from your participation in this activity?

gain an insight to another culture

improve my Chinese as it is my second language
broaden my perspective of the world and culture a more open minded view
learning how to interact more with children
improve my leadership skills as I will have to lead many activities at the school
and also the orphanage

What evidence could be appropriate for this activity?

- Photos and videos from the trip
- photos of scarves which will be knitted beforehand for the orphanage
