On July 17, Gardner was selling untaxed cigarettes

when police confronted him.

Officers attempted to arrest him, but struggled to.
More officers joined in, and one put Gardner in a
chokehold.

ground while still in a chokehold.

Gardner was heard saying I cant
breathe several times
Gardner also had respiratory
problems leading to cardiac arrest
which is resulted in his death.

A police officer named Darren Wilson told them to
move to the sidewalk

in Wilsons gun being fired.

Both Brown and his friend fled but
Wilson starting chasing down Brown
It is still unclear what exactly
happened, but it is known that
Michael Brown turned around
started moving towards the police
officer for an unknown reason, was
shot at, and killed.
